March 11, 2012 ( Sunday) 2 p.m. Blue Star Flag Day .. The Blue
Star Banner is a revered and honored symbol of military service
to our nation, and is displayed
in the home of a service member. It may contain one or more stars,
representing the number of family members in uniform. Especially
popular
during WW II , the banner has been making a resurgence as our current
war
continues. It focuses on a veteran’s military service years
ago or just last
month. Post 151 wishes to increase the visibility of this symbol
to the general
public, so that more people know what it represents. Therefore,
Blue Star
